z scale train FRED Simulator Kit
Product Description
A convenient kit that includes the essentials needed to make a FRED (Flashing Red End Device) for the end of your train. The kit includes the FRED simulator electronic module, a package of 5 Red nano LEDs, the small magnet wire for leads from the LEDs, and a small on/off switch to install on the bottom of your box car. The magnet wire in the kit is the same spool of wire as item # NGRn5038 with 100 feet each of the red and green wire.

If you don't already have a way to safely test an LED, you may want to add to your order the "LED Testor" that fits onto a 9 volt battery. It has a resistor that protects the LED so you can hook up your LED directly to the testor without burning it out.
We carry for your convience the other items you may need such as a low-temperture solder iron (12 watts) and low-temperature solder so you can get going on this project.
